Apr 22, 2024 · Netflix is TERRIBLE on Apple TV 4k (3rd Gen) On my new Apple TV 4k it appears that Netflix is only playing back at 480p (or worse). Netflix is fine on my smart TV and other apps are fine on Apple TV 4k. And yes, I've done all of the recommended fixes (reinstalling, restarting, unplugging, reseting, etc).

Oct 10, 2024 · As per many other posts on this topic on the web, the shows on Netflix that stutter through the Apple TV play fine on the TVs Netflix app. TV is a Panasonic GZ2000. I know there is an issue with content on Netflix shot at 24fps being forced to play at 23.997, but that is a dropped frame every 30-40 seconds, not the frequent stuttering I am getting.

For example in black scenes it’s big squares i different shades of black/grey. On movies I buy/rent from other providers the picture is superb!

Netflix works fine on other devices. After talking to Netflix and Apple for over a year, I finally went and tested my ATV4K at a neighbour's house and the poor video quality issue remains.

USE THE VERY SAME EMAIL ADDRESS YOU HAD. Now login to Netflix on your Apple TV. Should work right away. P.S. There is no need to reset/restore your Apple TV to factory settings.
