I was on a call with my boss at the time, who lives on the East Side of Manhattan, and he told me that a loud helicopter just passed his apartment, traveling south down the river.

Feb 5, 2024 · This river has been my go-to boating spot for years. There is a public boat ramp located at Chimney Park that hosts public and Border Patrol boat launches. On the day of this story, I was running the boat upriver when I noticed the silhouette of a military helicopter on the Mexico side of the river. I realized it was a Black Hawk helicopter.
