Brandin Echols has decided to leave the New York Jets during the NFL's 2025 free agency period. According to reports including FOX Sports, Echols has agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Full terms of the deal have yet to be announced:

March 9: Jamien Sherwood was a backup going into the 2024 season for the Jets. A year later, and with a team MVP award under his belt, he just became one of the five highest-paid linebackers in the NFL after agreeing to re-sign with the Jets for $45 million ($30 million of it guaranteed) on a three-year deal.

Defensive end Rashad Weaver is heading to New York. According to reports including NFL Network, the pass rusher has agreed to a one-year deal. Full terms of the contract have yet to be announced: The Weaver addition comes as the Jets lost defensive linemen Solomon Thomas and Javon Kinlaw both left via free agency earlier this week.
