While the Dragon Bravo Fire has burned more than 123,000 acres, much of the surrounding national park remains open. Here’s the latest.

The Dragon Bravo Fire exploded in size along the Grand Canyon’s North Rim this week as heat and strong winds drove the growth.

According to the fire tracking app WatchDuty, as of Monday, the fire had burned through over 120,000 acres. However, the blaze is only 16% contained, as dry vegetation and low humidity have made fighting it increasingly difficult.
