Apple Cider Vinegar is streaming on Netflix and the series tells the true story of Australian scammer Belle Gibson (played by Kaitlyn Dever). She lied about having a brain tumour and monetized the fake diagnosis by launching an app called The Whole Pantry.

Star Kaitlyn Dever gives a powerhouse performance in the series as the Australian single mom who fooled the world into believing she was curing herself of cancer with healthy eating while launching a wellness empire.

The is billed as a “true-ish story based on a lie" and is inspired by a 2017 book, “The Woman Who Fooled the World,” by two investigative journalists, Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano, who explored Gibson’s deception.
