A small boat believed to be carrying migrants capsized early Monday off the coast of San Diego, leaving at least three people dead and four others injured. The U.S. Coast Guard said early Tuesday that crews has suspended a search for at least seven others who were missing.

Authorities suspended the search for seven missing people, including two children, after a panga-style boat overturned near San Diego on May 5 and three people were found dead.

The search effort stopped late Monday after crews combed the area via helicopter and a cutter for hours following the early morning capsizing,
