Queen Camilla made a heartfelt gesture towards the late Queen Elizabeth as she stepped out at Ascot alongside King Charles. The royal couple were joined by Prince William in the royal carriage procession to the races after Princess Kate pulled out of attending the event last minute.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla have endured disappointment on the opening day of Royal Ascot as their horse, Reaching High, failed to back up his status as favorite in one of the big races.

The royal family is once again represented at the Royal Ascot horse racing event. On Wednesday, Prince William accompanies the King and Queen, while Kate had to cancel at short notice.
