Mexico has filed a lawsuit against Google for ignoring repeated requests not to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America for U.S. users on its maps service, according to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.

President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico on Friday morning said her government had sued Google over the company’s decision to label the Gulf of Mexico as “Gulf of America” — a spat going back to February, when the Trump administration issued an executive order to rename the gulf.

President Donald Trump called for the government to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Now he will reportedly do it with the Persian Gulf.
