It is a well-known joke that hosting the Oscars is one of the worst jobs in Hollywood. So when four-time host Jimmy Kimmel offered to give newcomer Conan O'Brien some pointers for the gig, O'Brien was all ears.

The 97th Oscars began on March 2 at Dolby Theater in Los Angeles with the late night host taking the presenting reigns for the first time in his 30 year career.

The Academy has struggled to find a suitable host for the Oscars. Some of the more experienced emcees are too old to appeal to a younger audience.

The host then turned to Timothée Chalamet, who he noted is “nominated for his portrayal of Bob Dylan” in “A Complete Unknown.” “Bob Dylan wanted to be here tonight, but not that badly,” O’Brien joked.

Karla Sofía Gascón thanked the Academy and congratulated winners from Sunday night’s Oscars in a post-ceremony message on Monday, concluding a chapter of the actress’ PR crisis which began over a month ago with a series of resurfaced racially charged social media posts.
