Gov. Andy Beshear announced a compromise to honor both the late President Jimmy Carter and soon-to-be inaugurated President Donald Trump.

Governor Andy Beshear announced that Kentucky will honor former President Jimmy Carter and President-elect Donald Trump on Monday.

At Gov. Andy Beshear's direction, flags in Kentucky will be raised to full-staff during President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony.

Flags will be raised to full-staff on Monday. Governor Andy Beshear says all government flags will be raised to full-staff following President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. Flags will return to half-staff following the ceremony.

Gov. Andy Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be raised to full-staff at 11:30 a.m. EST on Monday, Jan. 20, and remain there until the conclusion of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.
