The Army is pausing helicopter flights near a Washington airport after two commercial planes had to abort landings last week because of an Army Black Hawk helicopter that was flying to the Pentagon

The U.S. Army is pausing helicopter training flights around the Pentagon pending a review into two passenger airline flights that were forced to abort landings at Reagan Washington National Airport on Thursday because of a nearby Black Hawk helicopter.

The Army paused helicopter training flights in and around the Pentagon after two commercial flights performed "go-arounds" to avoid an Army Black Hawk last week.
