YPSILANTI TWP., MI — A 53-year-old man is still in critical condition after a shooting that killed another man last week. Police have been unable to speak with the man, shot around 10:36 p.m. July 23, because of his condition, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Cmdr. Eugene Rush said Tuesday, July 29.
Five people, including a New York City police officer, died in a shooting in Manhattan. Suspected gunman Shane Devon Tamura died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.

Mobile police have released the identity of the man killed in a shooting Friday afternoon. At approximately 2:46 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Earle Street in reference to a shooting, according to a previous release. Upon arrival, officers discovered Cameron Madison, 24, with a gunshot wound.
Arriving officers found 11 people shot including a 27-year-old man pronounced dead at the scene, Schierbaum told reporters during a late-morning news conference. The other 10 victims included an 18-year-old man who was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Shane Tamura, the suspect in the deadly shooting in Midtown Manhattan, carried a note in his pocket claiming he suffered from CTE and also made references to the NFL, police sources told ABC News.
