Over the summer six former Sooners and two current OU stars have signed up to participate in Major League Baseball's Home Run Derby X.

Tickets are available to watch the University of Oklahoma softball team as it hosts an NCAA Tournament regional this weekend.

The NCAA Tournament brackets will be decided with Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M awaiting their postseason fates.

The Sooners were seeded second behind Texas A&M even though Oklahoma won the SEC regular season title. For the second straight year, Oklahoma is headed to the NCAA Tournament as the No. 2-overall seed. Last year, the Sooners dropped the regular season series to Texas before avenging that loss to win the Big 12 Tournament.

During this 50th anniversary season, we wanted to celebrate Oklahoma State softball history with the top 50 players.

The OU softball team fell behind big early, then battled back to beat Arkansas 8-6 on Gabbie Garcia’s three-run, walk-off home run Friday in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament.

Oklahoma and Texas A&M will play for the SEC Tournament title, with the winner potentially taking home the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament as well. The top-seeded Sooners had to erase a 6-1 deficit on Friday, but Gabbie Garcia walked off Arkansas to punch OU’s ticket to the title game.

OU Softball Head Coach Patty Gasso was named SEC Coach of the Year, with several players on the roster also taking home top honors.
