Former Connecticut college student Matthew Hertgen, 31, was arrested in New Jersey after police found his brother, Joseph Hertgen dead late Saturday.

A New Jersey man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his brother, who was a former University of Michigan soccer player.

Joseph Hertgen, who played soccer at Michigan from 2016-19, was found dead in a Princeton, New Jersey, apartment on Saturday evening. Matthew Hertgen, Joseph's older brother, called 911 on Saturday night, and Joseph was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.
