In 1998, Konstantin Anisimov and Olga Anisimova moved to the U.S. from Russia with their then-10-year-old daughter, Amanda's older sister Maria Egee, to give her more opportunities. After Amanda was born in 2001, the family of four moved again from New Jersey to Florida to support Maria’s growing tennis ambitions.

For the first time tennis player Amanda Anisimova has made it to the Wimbledon finals, but the 23 year old has overcome major personal adversities and heartbreak to get where she is today

Anisimova dealt with the sudden death of her dad to a heart attack in 2019. He was also her longtime coach. In addition, she rose quickly in professional tennis, reaching the French Open semifinals at age 17.
