NYC weather: 2 additional winter storms could bring snow later in week
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Meteorologists are monitoring two additional winter storms forecast to roll through the New York City area following Tuesday’s snow event. On Wednesday, forecasters are expecting an evening storm to bring a wintry mix of precipitation to the five boroughs.
More snow expected for NYC, tristate area Tuesday night
Another round of snow was expected to hit City and the tristate area overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Between 1 and 3 inches was predicted for the five boroughs, according to the National Weather Service.

Goodman explained that as New York City rests on the northern fringe of this winter system, areas further south are more likely to see elevated snowfall amounts. As of Tuesday morning, Staten Island is forecast to receive 2 to 3 inches of accumulation from this storm, according to Goodman.
