ASHBURN, Va. — Terry McLaurin did not report to Washington Commanders training camp Tuesday as the team’s top receiver seeks a new contract, according to ESPN and NFL Network. ESPN’s John Keim and NFL Network’s Nick Shook reported that McLaurin was absent from camp Tuesday. The team has not yet announced McLaurin’s status.

With a contract extension nowhere in sight, Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin has decided to holdout of team training camp as a sign of protest.

McLaurin, 29, is in the final year of a three-year, $68.3 million deal that places him 17th among wide receivers in terms of average annual value. He had held out the first four days of camp, shortly after he expressed frustration with the lack of progress on a new deal.
