Embiid is unquestionably worth every penny right now, but this is a big bet on him staying healthy the next five years.

The Philadelphia 76ers signed All-NBA star center Joel Embiid to a three-year extension worth $192.9 million, a source familiar with the contract told UPI on Friday.

The Sixers now have their Big 3 of Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey all locked up for the foreseeable future. George signed a 4-year $212 million deal in the offseason while Maxey signed a 5-year $204 million deal to stay with the Sixers.
