The ability to automate tasks in Excel for the web has been a long wait—but it’s finally here, and it was worth the wait.

Microsoft Excel now lets you run Python scripts on images to detect sharpness, edit visuals, and analyze metadata.

Microsoft 365 Insiders can check out a new version of Excel in Windows that now includes the Python Editor inside the app. It will also continue to be available as an add-in via Excel Labs.
