It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Rachel Brosnahan in a public restroom. The actress, 34, revealed what she was doing when James Gunn called to offer her the role of Lois Lane in the new “Superman.”
"So I fell in love with you as Superman," she told Corenswet. As Goldberg shared her thoughts on the movie, she noted that she was friends with the late Christopher Reeve, the actor who originated the title role in Warner Bros.' Superman movies from the 1978 original through 1987's Superman IV: The Quest for Peace.
Superman's foil comes in Hoult's Lex Luthor, a man proudly consumed by envy, who, as Lois deduces, wants to be king (who said comic book allegory needed to be subtle?). Hoult joins Brosnahan and Corenswet in ceding character beats and development to a chaotic, teeming plot.
