A Biden-era policy that protected journalists enjoyed bipartisan support. Four years later, Trump's attorney general undid it anyway.

Attorney General Pam Bondi on Friday penned a memo noting she would be rescinding former Attorney General Merrick Garland's policies preventing officials from gaining key evidence from members of the media.

Federal government employees intentionally leaking sensitive information to the media . . . is illegal and wrong, and it must stop,’ Bondi wrote.
