LEXINGTON — In theory, Otega Oweh 's NBA draft decision came down to the wire. In reality, it was a decision that had been made well before he publicly announced his plans.
However, the win that will be played back for years to come will be its 83-82 victory over Oklahoma in its first-ever trip to Norman and the Lloyd Noble Center, thanks to former Sooner Otega Oweh.
Oweh, a transfer from Oklahoma, scored in double figures in 33 of 36 games with 13 games of 20 points or more, including a career-high 28 points and the game-winner against the Sooners in Norman.
Otega Oweh and Brandon Garrison combined for 40 points to help UK escape with an 83-82 victory over Oklahoma on Wednesday at the Lloyd Noble Center.
