Boston beat Orlando 120-89 in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series on Tuesday to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Castle follows 2023-24 recipient Victor Wembanyama and is the fourth ROY winner in franchise history, also joining David Robinson and Tim Duncan. Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaylen Wells and Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher were the other finalists for the award.

San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle has won the NBA's 2024-25 Rookie of the Year award, the league announced on Tuesday.  Castle is now the second consecutive Spurs player to win Rookie of the Year,
