It’s Kia EV Day, and all those who celebrate are excited, confused, and arguing. The brand held an event in Tarragona, Spain, last week to unveil a series of new electric vehicles, only one of which is certain to come to the U.S. Thankfully, it’s the most interesting one.

Kia has officially launched the EV4, its first electric sedan and hatchback, at the 2025 Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain. The company first unveiled the EV4 as a concept at CES last year, along with several other models.

At the EV Day 2025 in Tarragona, Spain, Kia revealed two new electric vehicles: The EV4 sedan and the EV4 hatchback. As their nomenclature suggests, these compacts are the smaller siblings to the existing EV9, EV6, and EV5 electric cars. The EV4s are Kia’s first electrified sedan and hatchback, targeting customers looking for non-SUV body types.

Kia plans to build 140,000 EV4s annually, with 50,000 slated for the U.S. The EV4 is expected to start at €37,000 ($38,841) including VAT, but prices for the American market have yet to be announced. The sedan will go on sale in Korea in March while the Europe-exclusive hatchback will follow in the second half of the year.
