GREENSBORO, N.C. — After months of speculation, JetZero will officially build its new factory in Greensboro at Piedmont Triad International Airport, a move expected to create nearly 15,000 local jobs and billions of dollars in economic impact.
JetZero is set to come to the Triad, landing thousands of new jobs in the area. The Greensboro City Council met to discuss incentives.
On Thursday, the N.C. Economic Investment Committee awarded JetZero an incentive package to build at the Piedmont Triad International Airport, about 65 miles west of Durham. The state grant will be worth up to $1.17 billion if the jet maker achieves its hiring and investment goals by 2036
