A Lauderhill man died on Father’s Day after trying to rescue two of his children who appeared to be in distress in the ocean off Fort Lauderdale beach.

A father drowned over the weekend after rushing into the ocean to save his two children. Authorities said the incident happened on Father’s Day. Antwon Wilson, 33, of Lauderhill, had been spending time with his children at a beach in Fort Lauderdale.
