Emil Bove was confirmed to a U.S. appeals court on a party-line vote. Bove led a purge of prosecutors who worked on cases stemming from the 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The Republican-majority Senate voted 50-49 to confirm Bove to a lifetime appointment on the Philadelphia-based 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
