Drew Doughty is day to day because of a lower-body injury that kept the defenseman out of the Los Angeles Kings' 3-2 overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday night. Doughty missed the first 47 games after breaking his left ankle in a preseason game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Sept.

Thanks to an ankle injury he suffered during exhibition play, the Los Angeles Kings were forced to play the first several months of the 2024-25 NHL season without veteran defenseman and assistant captain Drew Doughty.

Both the Vancouver Canucks and the Los Angeles Kings will be without some impact defencemen when they faceoff against one another on Wednesday night.
