Three people were killed, four were injured and seven others are missing after a small boat overturned early Monday in the ocean off San Diego, sheriff’s officials said.

Three people are dead after a "panga" boat washed ashore Monday morning in southern California. Based on survivors' reports, the craft seems to have been a vessel used for migrant travel.

At least two children are reported missing as the US Coast Guard searches for survivors, just north of San Diego.
