Actor Amitabh Bachchan is pained and filled with grief over the tragic loss of lives in the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. Taking to his blog on Saturday, Amitabh expressed his empathy and support for those affected by the incident. Air India posted on X, "Air India will provide an interim payment of Rs 25 lakh or approximately 21,000 GBP, each to the families of the deceased and to the survivor, to help address immediate financial needs. This is in addition to the Rs 1 crore or approximately 85,000 GBP support already announced by Tata Sons."

While family and relatives of the victims who lost their lives in the Ahmedabad plane crash are constantly travelling to Ahmedabad, airlines are seeing it as an opportunity to earn profits as airfares for flights to and from Ahmedabad have increased to more than a whopping 500%.

It could take months to fully understand what went wrong in the crash, the first involving a Dreamliner. Officials from India continued the investigation Friday.
