Over 500 protesters gathered in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana on June 14, 2025, for the "No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance" protest. The protest, organized by Indivisible and other pro-democracy groups, coincided with a military parade held by then-President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C.

The demonstrations follow more than a week of large-scale protests in Los Angeles against Mr. Trump’s immigration crackdown and his decision to deploy the military there. Thousands gathered at Liberty Plaza,

Around 2,000 protests and rallies were planned nationwide, with thousands of people also attending staged “No Kings” events in Manitowoc, Sheboygan and Green Bay. Rallies were canceled in Minnesota out of caution following shootings targeting local lawmakers.

A handful of counter protestors moved to stand behind the line of No Kings protestors. They chanted "Trump" at the No Kings demonstrators holding up signs and a flag of their own. Justin Johnson, who's from Marion, was one of the demonstrators supporting Trump.

Demonstrators marched through the streets of Fort Collins June 14 as part of nationwide "No Kings" protests against the Trump administration.

The"No Kings" protests are planned to oppose what they see as Trump's power grab. The number of planned events is nearly double that of the April 5 "Hands Off" protest that saw millions of Americans turn out in big and small cities nationwide.
